Aero.fr (Saint Jean Eudes)

More than a decade ago, the metal factory of my hometown finally closed down. It was the biggest metal factory of the region. It had been running for decades and had never stopped even for one day. When the factory closed, a lot of workers found themselves unemployed and a lot of them really struggled to survive through this. Nowadays many years have passed since this very sad episode but the memory is still alive in some ways and graphic artists have recently decided to make pieces of street art out of old metal worker homes which have been proudly standing in the surroundings completely abandonned.

Aussitôt Mort - "Mort,mort,mort" Live @ Zvera 2010

A song from a band coming from my hometown. I like it a lot and I guessed you could like it too. If you like post-hardcore, check this band out on http://aussitotmort.bandcamp.com/ or on http://aussitotmort.free.fr/. This song was filmed by Vella Kaplis who appears to be a fan from Latvia (original link: http://vimeo.com/20299360).

A saturday afternoon with the devil.

Yesterday afternoon I had tea with a friend of mine. We were discussing music when he showed me some very rare vinyls he recently kind of "inherited". Among these hidden treasures was a vintage promotional vinyl which happens to be extremely rare (See picture below). We thus listened to it and felt that we were playing some historic piece of plastic. The band is AC/DC (Bon Scott period) and the song is Jailbreak...

Saturday Night Stoner - "Häshcut (Live)"

On this windy and drizzling evening, some people had gathered outside a crappy bar along a straight derelict road by the river. On this night, three gigs were to be played. Three bands, three different styles ranging from crust metal (karysun) to post-rock (the hectic dull sound) with a detour through psychedelic stoner/doom. I was one of the flock and my aim on this very evening was to see french stoner band Häshcut perform live for the first (me not them...).

El Dia De Los Muertos 2011 (Pavillon de Normandie)

Here are a few photographs of the strange things I saw during DDLM 2011. These works of art have something in common since they all more or less focus on man's life and death and all tend to emphasize on the shortness and sometimes meaninglessness of terrestrial life.

"Dunkelheit macht mich ganz schwindlig"

When you go out on Halloween's night, you get to meet a lot of people dressed in black wearing masks and letting out bizarre and gruesome moanings. Someone told me on this very night that it was the only day of the year he could give children candies with a sleazy look on his face without being afraid of getting certified on the spot...Here is a series of photographs taken on Halloween night somewhere in France. Though this celebration may not be french at all, people seem to enjoy it as if it was part of their own folklore.
