Shine it all around

  "Anybody home?..."

"Stoner rock is good for you man..."

"Where is Damian?"

I found these animated gifs from Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" on the web. I am usually not the biggest fan of movie animated gifs because most of the time they suck but in the case of the following ones, I must admit that they really creep me out... It seems that this new craze for high-definition quality gifs originated with or was inspired by the work of that guy Jamie Beck (fromme-toyou.tumblr.com).He actually focuses his work on creating photographs that are both still but also moving. The effect is quite breathtaking on some of his pictures.

Death in Junuary

Cold winter wind is cracking the skin of our noses. The atmosphere is perfect for some good old Death in June. Lean back, relax, kick off your shoes and let the sound take control...Here is a video made out of scenes from Ingmar Bergman's 1957 Seventh Seal.

Urban, suburban & industrial

This short video is a patchwork of urban and industrial landscapes that I recently shot during a trip to Romania. I then edited these videos and added an instrumental song from french dead-in-the-egg band Gavel. Then you'll find one of The Smiths' most mystical songs: "How soon is now". The atmosphere of this song reminds me of the cold romanian winter atmosphere. You gotta be there to understand...
